Random Thoughts

 Here it is, my first foray into incorporating beads into a design. I began this piece as I would any other, with a sketch on the fabric. For some reason I forgot to transfer the fabric to a larger hoop before securing the excess fabric.

Not a big issue, unless you wish to fill up the entire field with color, as I did with this piece. Sewing along the hoop is not my favorite and I am sure my needles are dull as can be now.

I selected my colors and beads and kept them handy, and with little worry of the beads rolling away, in this cute ginkgo plate- a gift from my sister.

Then it's time to sew. I opted to add some of the beads, first, for the most part. Along with beads, this color palette is a bit out of my normal selection. The finished piece, "Random Thoughts"
