Handfuls, Mini Version of My Work
Using just a handful of stitches, I am creating some mini versions of my work, and I am calling them Handfuls. These smaller versions of what I have been creating using painter's frames wrapped in my own fabric are sewn in modest 4" hoops. They are perfect for tucking into a bookcase.

In my mind I thought I could sew these in very short order. Well, nope. Since I'm drawn to filling in the entire field with color, creating Handfuls is taking a bit longer than I thought. But all is well. It's enjoyable revisiting past designs. The repetitive motion of sewing hundreds upon hundreds of Satin Stitches is very calming and the perfect way to clear the mind and think up new designs.
