The Showcase of Arts at the Barn in Mariemont

The Showcase of Arts Draws Near!

Last year, after seeing the Showcase of Arts at the Barn in Mariemont, I was inspired to pitch in. The event is coordinated in great part, by Jan Boone, a member of the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati.

I thought that a tree, illuminated with a hundred or five hundred (ha!) lights would be great in the loft area of the show. I thought to myself, how difficult would be to stich a collection of 50 traditional and non-traditional ornaments for the show? Turns out, it wasn’t difficult, just odd to think of Christmas in the summer. I started these a few months back, not wanting to find myself at the eleventh hour scrambling for enough ornament to make a good showing.

I will also bring some of my pieces in hoops as well as the pieces I wrap around
wood frames. I have necklaces I have stitched, and some photography, and photography tiles. It will be quite a collection of goods!
